(Ph.D., Indiana University, Political Science), Assistant Professor. Professor Craw recently completed his doctoral work, in which he examined social welfare policymaking in local governments. Beyond urban politics, his research interests include gay and lesbian politics, research methods, and macroeconomic policy.

Professor Craw published “Taming the Local Leviathan: Institutional and Economic Constraints on Municipal Budgets” in the May 2008 issue of Urban Affairs Review.

Michael Craw’s paper "Overcoming City Limits: Vertical and Horizontal Models of Local Redistributive Policymaking" will be published in the Social Science Quarterly in their June 2006 issue.
